Greetings....

has this happened to anyone? a "oil pressure" light comes on, check the oil, and there is enough???? then a loud noise comes out of it, then the smell of burning????

i took the car to audi of chandler after lesuer car co, suggested it may be the coils again, since it was under warranty....but when i get there they say that i need a new engine....

Car drives, turns on, advances....but that noise and that smell is just heartbreaking....

any recommendations....by the way, the dealership quoted me at $7900 for a new engine....and then they called me back and said that audi, will pay more than 40% and the cost to me would be $3865.....

I am bummed out. it seems that when something goes wrong.....something really goes wrong.

How many miles on your car? I know that Audi sent out extended warranties for oil sludge in the 1.8Ts. I don't know if yours qualifies, or if it was sludge at all, but it's something to look into. Might be why Audi Chandler is willing to go in for 40%.

Yeah, i saw the receipt....i have convinced myself that i am gonna have to pay that money....i will have to....i was just wondering if there was anyone else that has had this problem....

by the way, car has 106k miles. So a new engine wouldnt be so bad.

Do you have all of your synthetic oil change records? Its key if you want them to cover it under the oil sludge extension?

I do. I faxed them all in.
that's how I got the over 40% discount.
